James has a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Health Science) and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of Western Australia.
He graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) in 2014, having been awarded the Vice Chancellor's Medal for the School of Law in 2012 and many other Prizes for his study there, including the Marcellin-Nagle Prize in Law for Best First Year Student and the CCH Australia Prize in Family Law.
James was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2015 and also is on the Register of Practitioners for the High Court of Australia.
Whilst studying, James was employed as a clerk at Paynes Lawyers, where he developed an interest in, and appreciation of, the dynamic issues that are involved in family law disputes.
Following his graduation, James worked at a top-tier commercial law firm until he joined Paynes Lawyers in November 2016.
James provides his clients with a full family law service and aims to achieve the best possible outcome for each of his clients.
James is a member of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association.
During his spare time, James enjoys boating and camping with family and friends.
